Bubble or hype, AI has already reset how people expect software to work. Users now look for finished results, instant feedback, and products that learn from context.

Seven shifts showing up across real products

 1. From A place for me to create -> do the work for me. Creation handled end to end. Devin and Midjourney point to this shift

 2. From one size, that I customise -> Custom made just for me. Personal by default. Output reflects my history and goal. Day.ai and TikTok make it obvious

 3. From I'll do the busy work to busywork is done for me. Notes, calls, tickets and finance steps handled automatically. Abridge Otter.ai Truewind and Anterior focus here

 4. From I'll pay per seat to I'll pay for output. Seats fade when value is a draft a resolved ticket or a case outcome. Intercom Synthesia Captions Kittl Clay EvenUp and copy.ai are exploring this

 5. From I expect to spend hours figuring it out to I expect it now. Copilot, Fin and ChatGPT built the habit of instant response

 6. From I'll learn this interface to the interface adapts to me. Less time learning more time finishing the task. Gemini and Perplexity are examples

 7. From the tool has no context to the tool can see what I am doing and does better with context. Apps see the screen or thread and step in only when useful. Claude Squint and Gemini show this in action
